At bottom left, the initials HC are written in pencil.<\/p>\n<p>Beautiful golden-brown frame with elegant gray cloth passe-partout.<\/p>\n<p>Some foxing on the edges and in the lithogravure.<\/p>\n<p>Dimensions: unframed: 50.5 x 58 cm<\/p>\n<p>framed: 72 x 89 cm<\/p>\n<p>N.B.: Jacques DEPERTHES (1936) is a Franco-Swiss painter born in Suresnes (France). He lived in Geneva, where he studied at the Geneva School of Art between 1954 and 1958.<\/p>\n<p>His first solo exhibition took place in Geneva in 1961. He exhibits regularly in Europe and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Deperthes&#8217; works can be found in numerous museums, including the Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and the Mus\u00e9es d&#8217;Art et d&#8217;Histoire de la Ville de Gen\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n<p>Jacques DEPERTHES uses black as a base tone to bring out the beautiful harmony of the classical composition.<\/p>\n<p>He is renowned for his snowy, urban and golf course landscapes.<\/p>\n<p>He has exhibited all over the world, notably in the United States, Korea, Japan and England.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Large framed lithograph depicting an isolated dwelling in a rural landscape, with a wooded driveway and a pond.
