*Hippolyte Moreau: born in Dijon on April 01, 1832, died in Neuilly-sur-Seine on January 04, 1926.
\nFrench sculptor who trained first in his father Jean-Baptiste-Louis-Joseph Moreau’s studio, then in Paris with his brothers Mathurin and Auguste, where he studied with Fran\u00e7ois Jouffroy at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
\nFrom 1863 to 1914, he exhibited decorative subjects at the Salon des artistes fran\u00e7ais, most often inspired by the 18th century.
\nHe won a medal at the 1878 Universal Exhibition and another at the 1900 Universal Exhibition.
\nHe mainly produced medium-sized works and decorative or everyday objects: vases, statuettes, bronze, regula or pewter cubby-holes.
