"The Sanjaku Birds and the Peach", Yuhi Kumashiro (1693 - 1771), (after)

The painting depicts two sanjaku placed on a peach tree bending under ripe fruits, an allegory of summer. The work bears the seals constituting the signature of the artist, Yuhi Kumashiro, as well as the oblong seal, or Yuogei, which means “rapture in art”.

This masterpiece of the Nanpin style is preserved in Japan and is one of the most priceless treasures of the Tokugawa Museum in Nagoya, which had never allowed reproduction before this one, which dates from 1986 and whose realization the museum has overseen. The artist is a famous eighteenth-century Japanese painter, Yuhi Kumashiro. It is published by Franklin Mint, made by Wei Tsang Yang, reproduced on pure silk, mounted on a mat in damask silk and framed with traditional shiogi wood to reflect the beauty of the original work. It comes with its certificate of authenticity.
