Double-opening vase, flamed sandstone, A. Cytere

Delightful decorative double-opening vase (or flower pot), made of flamed sandstone. Cachet under the base, A. Cytère, UNIS France.

Created at the beginning of the 20th century, in collaboration with artists from the École de Nancy, a very dark Art Nouveau line. Collector’s item.

The flamed sandstone gives a changing color and a shiny appearance to the piece. The colors are blue, light and more “electric”, and golden yellow with the mark of the flame, darker on top.

Condition: impeccable.
