Léa Stein ( February 11, 1936) is a French artist known for her compressed plastic brooches and bracelets.
Often hailed as “the most remarkable and innovative plastic jewelry designer of the 20th century”, Stein began making jewelry in 1960.
In the mid-1960s, she began making brooches from cellulose acetate, using a special technique.
