Collector’s book in very good condition, just a few rubs on the box and cover with slight insolation. The first 500 copies published were numbered, this one bears the number 62 (sixty-two).

The text is translated into French by the university poet, Jacqueline Risset.

The edition includes 92 drawings by Sandro Bottticelli, commissioned by Lorenzo Di Medici and made in the 15th century to illustrate the poem. They are presented and commented by Peter Dreyer.

Art binding: half-binding in tawny leather with bands and a calf-leather spine with faux nerves bearing the title of the work in fine gold, and covers covered with matching marbled paper. Accompanied by its fully matching box set.

Format: large in-4, 34.5 x 26.5 x 6.8 cm of 504 numbered pages.
