Provenance: piece acquired in the gallery in 2008.

The artist, Jacques Dufrane, is Belgian, born in 1947 in Binche. Passionate about art but initially working as a founder in an industrial environment, Jacques Dufrane draws all his inspiration from this professional experience, both in terms of techniques and patterns. Having become a painter, sculptor and assembler, he uses these small metal pieces, chosen and welded, to create unique creations, which are also like an ode to metallurgy.
