N.B.: Jacques DEPERTHES (1936) is a Franco-Swiss painter born in Suresnes (France). He lived in Geneva, where he studied at the Geneva School of Art between 1954 and 1958.
His first solo exhibition took place in Geneva in 1961. He exhibits regularly in Europe and the United States.
Deperthes’ works can be found in numerous museums, including the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and the Musées d’Art et d’Histoire de la Ville de Genève.
Jacques DEPERTHES uses black as a base tone to bring out the beautiful harmony of the classical composition.
He is renowned for his snowy, urban and golf course landscapes.
He has exhibited all over the world, notably in the United States, Korea, Japan and England.
